Napoli are lining up a January move for Arsenal target Patrick Herrmann.
According to reports in Germany, the Gunners are among the clubs keeping a close eye on the midfielder, 20, who has impressed for Borussia Monchengladbach this season.
Herrmann initially broke into the first-team at Borussia Park in 2009 and finished last season having made 15 starts.
And the German Under-21 international has made an eye-catching start to the new campaign, scoring twice in his first ten appearances for the Bundesliga high flyers.
And now sources in Italy have revealed that Napoli scouts have been following Herrmann closely this term and could be ready to launch a New Year bid.
That could alert Arsenal, who may be tempted to make an offer of their own for the midfielder who could be available for as little as £3m.
